Quick Scanning Guide

Using Scaniverse:

  1. Open the Scaniverse app, select: ‘New Scan’
  2. Allow Scaniverse to use your camera: ‘Ok’
  3. Allow Scaniverse to use your location: ‘Don’t Allow’
  1. Open the Scaniverse app, select: ‘New Scan’
  2. Select: ‘Mesh’
  3. Object: ‘Medium’
  4. Start recording the scan by pressing the red button
  5. End the scan by pressing ‘Stop’
  1. Select ‘Detail’
  2. Save draft – if the scan disappears click library, select the scan, and hit detail again, save
  3. Click the 3 dots (…) at the top
  4. Add title – Client’s name – Save
  5. Minimize the screen by pressing the down triangle at the top right corner
  6. On the scan with the correct title, press ‘Edit’
  7. Crop the scan by narrowing down the shape and press the check mark to save
  1. Tap 2 points where you know the exact measurement and check if the scan is to scale
  2. When the scale is correct, press ‘Share’
  1. Select ‘Share’
  2. Select ‘Export Model’
  3. Select ‘OBJ’
  4. Save to files
  5. Select ‘On My iPad’ or ‘On My iPhone’ and press ‘Save’
  1. Open RideWorks and the client’s folder
  2. Select ‘Import a scan’
  3. A white box will pop up, select ‘Import a scan’ again
  4. Select the scan file from the list
  5. Verify that the file now appears in the client’s RideWorks files
  6. Submit with your order form and pictures
  1. Select OBJ
  2. Email it to yourself
  3. Title the email your client’s name – scan (Example: T. Smith – Scan)
  4. When you are ready to submit the order form and pictures, please add a note to the order form: “Scan is coming in a separate email”
  5. Forward your emailed scan to Ride Customer Service within the same time frame you send the order form/pictures.
